Bellingham’s Columbia neighborhood has approximately 4,000 residents and is one of Bellingham’s oldest neighborhoods. The southern section of this neighborhood identified as the Eldridge Historical District, consists of many large historically distinguishable homes. The Columbia neighborhood has many parks including Elizabeth park, Carl Lobe park, and Loarraine Ellis parks. Schools in this area include Columbia Elementary, Whatcom Middle School and Bellingham High School.
